Hi All,
This past week, I’ve been at a retreat in northern California. I have enjoyed good food, friendship, and stillness. I’m full. I want to offer some of that fullness to you in the offerings here at A Thin Space. Please join me for one (or both) of the workshops below. And enjoy the latest Threshold episode with
.Thank you for being here with me in this space,
Emily
I was out of town for this week’s Threshold, so
hosted a solo episode on “Rest and the Wisdom of Activity.” Here’s the short description:September 22 is the fall equinox and the beginning of the more reflective seasons. As we harvest the fruits of summer, we're also slowing down and preparing for winter. How do we embrace rest in the midst of our busy lives? Do we have to go on retreat? Or can we find restful qualities as we continue our activities?
I welcome your comments on this topic!
Coming Up:
Beyond the Threshold
In this new offering, join
and me as we take a deeper look at the complexities of living in the between-spaces with awareness and intention. Expect community, thoughtful conversations, open-hearted communication. Our first gathering is Sunday October 26 from 10-11 am CT. Our topic is “Yes, No, Both, Neither, All.”
Here’s a quick description: Sometimes, we get stuck in ideas that we think are so solid and right that we can't move beyond them. In this "Beyond the Threshold" workshop, we'll explore an embodied practice that helps crack that open. You'll experience how to go beyond your ideas into a deeper truth. And best of all, you'll meet and share space with a safe, caring community.

Working with Emotions as Spiritual Practice: Exploring Sadness
In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore the emotion of sadness as an invitation to deeper awareness, understanding, and grace. Together, we’ll consider the intelligence offered by sadness and the practices that incorporate its intensity into our spiritual path. Join Spiritual Directors and Journey Center Association board members Paldrom Collins and Emily Conway for this vulnerable and gentle introduction to working with sadness as threshold and gift.
